The cantonese word for “heart” is “sum”, which is why the organization felt it was an appropriate name given the love and attention they put into their products. Originally founded in 1986, Summ! specializes in hand-rolled spring rolls, potstickers, wontons, and more. Over the years they’ve grown to over 4 locations and their products are in stores across North America. With continued growth in the last 6 months, Summ! has been able to depend on GigHound to support their ever-changing needs.
The Challenge
After seeing exponential growth over the last year, Summ! was in need of extra-help — both temporary and full-time — often times with very little notice. To date, they had been using multiple labor providers with unpredictable results, experiencing poor communication and availability.
